Not so long ago, a “weird and wonderful” lady walked into the Institute’s office. She was looking for a venue where runners can practice on a 1km circle route. On that day a new initiative was born – the “Run for a Child 12-hour Challenge.” And Teresa Morris became a friend of Jan Kriel!
The first event was held on the Jan Kriel grounds, with amazing results. Funds were raised to support two Jan Kriel pupils – Jamie and Sonja. In total 3106km’s was covered by the participants on the day. Two of the contestants went around the 1km track a hundred times!
With this effort, our friends raised more than R20 000 for our children!
Give a child a chance!
